The Western Australian Distilling Strategy 2025–2030 has been launched, charting a bold course for the State’s craft spirits sector.
Developed by ACIL Allen in partnership with the Australian Distillers Association, the WA Distillers Guild and the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development (DPIRD), the Strategy sets out a roadmap to guide growth, strengthen industry capability, and position WA as a global competitor in premium, provenance-based spirits.
WA is now home to around 90 distilleries, distinguished by quality, provenance, and innovation. Drawing on extensive consultation with around half of the State’s distillers, the Strategy identifies strengths, challenges, and opportunities, and defines priorities supported by an implementation plan for both early wins and long-term growth.
This work reflects the vision, collaboration, and ambition of WA’s distilling community, and lays the foundation for a sustainable, globally recognised industry.
