Hydrogen to support electricity systems

The Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning (DELWP) engaged GHD Advisory and ACIL Allen to assess the role that hydrogen might play in future to support Australia’s power systems and to determine whether the relevant regulatory frameworks are compatible with both enabling a large-scale hydrogen production capability and use of hydrogen for power generation. The engagement seeks to assist and inform the Council of Australian Governments’ (COAG’s) intended deliberations on a National Hydrogen Strategy.
