Opportunities for Australia from hydrogen exports

This report for ARENA shows how a global hydrogen market could develop over the next 20 years. There is scope for Australia to be a major exporter of hydrogen and create several thousand jobs.  Under ACIL Allen’s medium scenario the value of potential exports could be almost $6 billion by 2040 and some seven thousand jobs could be created.  ACIL Allen believes that Australia should position itself to take advantage of future hydrogen export opportunities, and therefore welcome the call for the creation of a National Hydrogen Strategy.
