A Roadmap for the red meat processing sector

ACIL Allen reviewed the regulation and legislation impacting the red meat processing sector in Australia for the Australian Meat Processors Corporation. Findings from this review were that although the industry has barriers to its development, they are not primarily issues requiring legislative reform. Instead, the industry needs to focus more on defining its policy objectives and prioritising issues such as labour in regional areas and renewable energy resources.
